World Mind Lab

Within the mind lies the entire physical world

News

  • March: The World Mind Lab is launched at HKUST!

Research Overview

Our lab focuses on the research field of 3D World Modeling, with the primary goal of teaching artificial intelligence (AI) to understand and model the geometric structure, visual appearance, and future dynamic changes of the 3D world. Ultimately, we aim to enable AI to accurately perceive and interact with the physical world. Our research covers core directions of 3D vision, generative models, and embodied AI, with applications in neural rendering, 3D reconstruction, and robotics.

The specific research directions involve the following major areas:

  • 3D Reconstruction & Rendering: such as feed-forward reconstruction and dynamic reconstruction.
  • World Models: includes interactive world models, multi-modal world models, etc.
  • Embodied Intelligence: includes active vision systems, decision-making and planning.
